A massive thank you to everyone who voted for Altogether Better in the finals of the National Lottery Awards, Best Health Project, 2011.

The results were revealed live on Saturday 5^th November on BBC 1 from the televised event in London. The award for Best Health Project went to the fantastic Sense Scotland and Altogether Better is thrilled to be a runner up, along with the brilliant Surf Action CIC.  

It was an absolute privilege to get through to the finals of the awards and we would also like to thank the Big Lottery Fund for the opportunity to highlight the work of over 15,000 Community and Workplace Health Champions who are making a huge difference to the health of over 90,000 people in their communities.

We are really fortunate to have such great staff teams across Yorkshire and the Humber and we are grateful to everyone who has supported our work.

The biggest thank you must go to the Champions themselves and we hope this recognition continues to highlight the massive potential in volunteers to make this country a healthier and happier place!
